Cleaning, Drying, and Assembly of the Electrolytic Cell for Trace Moisture Tester

Cleaning, Drying, and Assembly of the Electrolytic Cell for Trace Moisture Tester:

1. Before use, open all ports; clean all dirty parts of the electrolytic cell with methanol, acetone, or other solvents. Never use water for cleaning. After cleaning, place it in a drying oven at about 80°C for 1 hour, then allow it to cool naturally (except for newly assembled electrolytic cells).

2. After the electrolytic cell is properly treated, place the stirring bar into the cell bottle, inject about 120 ml of reagent into the anode chamber of the cell bottle, install the electrolytic electrode, inject about 5 ml of reagent into the cathode chamber to make the liquid levels basically balanced, then apply a thin layer of vacuum grease to each ground joint, and install the measuring electrode, drying tube (containing color-changing silica gel), sample injection stopcock, etc., to the corresponding parts. Gently rotate them to ensure a good seal.

2. Place the electrolytic cell bottle on the instrument stirrer, turn on the stirring switch (the red indicator light next to the key will be on) to check whether it stirs automatically (the stirring bar should not be eccentric). When a vortex is observed, plug the two electrode plugs into the corresponding sockets. At this time, the reagent should be dark brown, and both the electrolysis and measurement indicators should be zero (both rows of green lights are off). Use a 100 μl syringe to extract 100 μl of pure water and slowly inject it from the sample injection port, observing the color change of the reagent while injecting. When the reagent changes from dark brown to light yellow, both rows of green indicator lights will immediately light up, and the digital display will start counting. At this point, immediately stop adding water.

3. After about 20 minutes, the endpoint light will be on, the buzzer will stop sounding, and the instrument reaches the endpoint.
