Field Testing
Operation Steps
First, turn on the power and allow the instrument to perform automatic calibration for about five minutes;
First, connect one end of the inlet pipe to the instrument and close the flow control valve; then connect the other end of the inlet pipe to the equipment under test;
Open the flow control valve and adjust to about 0.6-0.7L/min;
The measurement will be completed automatically within a few minutes (measuring one sample takes about ten minutes, subsequent continuous measurements usually only take 2-5 minutes; if conversion is needed, refer to data conversion), press the save key to store data, and repeatedly press the display key to view historical data;
For continuous measurements, there is no need to turn off the instrument power; simply repeat the above steps, which can greatly save measurement time;
After using the instrument, be sure to turn off the power to protect the instrument battery;
Data Conversion
When the ambient temperature is higher than 20°C, if the measured value is greater than the standard value (the allowable moisture content of SF6 equipment at 20°C as specified by national standards), the measured value needs to be converted to the data at 20°C. The method is as follows:
When the measured gas temperature is stable, set the K value to +0.5 in the measurement parameter menu under the settings menu, and the value measured by the instrument will be the data at 20°C.
When the measured gas temperature is very unstable, wait until the value measured by the instrument stabilizes, then set the K value to +0.5; the value displayed by the instrument at this time will be the data at 20°C.
When the ambient temperature is lower than 20°C or when the measured value is lower than the standard value at ambient temperatures above 20°C, conversion is generally not required, and the K value should be 0 at this time.
