It adopts world-advanced sensor technology, the sensor from ALPHA company in the UK, which uses thin-film sensing technology, resistant to condensation, dust particles, unaffected by gasoline and most gases.
Measurement Methods
For the measurement of SF6 gas humidity, common methods include the gravimetric method and the coulometric electrolysis method. The first method requires high environmental conditions and takes a long time to measure, generally used only for arbitration analysis; the second method consumes a large amount of gas during measurement, requires the equipment to be powered on for drying all year round when not in use, and has poor repeatability.
Common measurement methods include the ventilated wet and dry bulb method and the coulometric electrolysis method. The first method is greatly affected by ambient temperature and humidity, resulting in higher measured values; the second method, in addition to the aforementioned disadvantages, is also susceptible to contamination.
Based on the above reasons, we have innovated by absorbing the advanced technologies of domestic and foreign humidity instrument manufacturers, and developed a domestic-level micro water measurement instrument - the EHO series Intelligent Micro Water Meter. It has the advantages of convenient use, short measurement time, high measurement accuracy, wide measurement range, and easy maintenance. The EHO series intelligent micro water meter adopts advanced microcontroller technology, so the instrument achieves automatic conversion between units such as micro water and ppmV, without the need for manual table lookup and conversion. The circuit part of the instrument is advanced and reliable. To meet the needs of field operations, the instrument uses both AC and DC power, and the built-in battery can work continuously for more than 15 hours, broadening the scope of use and greatly facilitating users.
Moisture is an important factor affecting insulation aging. Excessive moisture content will reduce the insulation performance of insulating materials and accelerate their aging, thereby reducing the reliability of operating equipment and shortening their service life. The main sources of moisture inside electrical equipment are: 1) external intrusion; 2) internally generated. The first situation is caused by improper protective measures during manufacturing, transportation, and installation of the equipment. The second situation is caused by moisture generated from the oxidation and cracking of insulating media during the operation of the equipment.
For hydrogen-cooled units, high hydrogen humidity is one of the main factors affecting the safe operation of generators. With the continuous commissioning of large-capacity, high-parameter units, multiple malignant accidents of generator sets burned out due to excessive hydrogen humidity have occurred domestically. The parameter measurement accuracy of traditional hygrometers can no longer ensure the safe operation of equipment and cannot meet the needs of the power system.
