Usage Methods and Main Parameters of High-Current Generator



High-Current Generator is a specialized device designed and manufactured for current load tests and temperature rise tests on electrical equipment such as various switches, current transformers and other electrical appliances, as required by power departments and industrial and mining enterprises.

　　 This series of products adopts integrated or split structures depending on product volume and weight. It features stepless adjustment of output current, uses 0.1-class standard transformers, digital display, balanced current rise, wide load variation range, reliable operation, simple operation, and safety. It is an ideal equipment for current rise or temperature rise tests in industrial and mining enterprises.

　　 2. Usage Methods and Precautions:

　　 1. The instrument must be properly grounded.

　　 2. Connect the power supply, connect the output of the control console to the input of the generator, connect the meters to each other, turn on the air switch, and the current generator waits for current rise.

　　 3. Rotate the voltage regulator evenly clockwise, paying attention to the output current indication on the control console, until the required high current is reached.

　　 4. During the test, if any abnormal phenomenon is found, immediately cut off the air switch power supply, find out the cause, and then conduct the test again.

　　 5. After the test, the voltage regulator must be returned to zero, turn off the air switch to cut off the power supply, cut off the working power, and then remove the test wiring to ensure safety.

　　 3. Operating Environment:

　　 2. The product should be placed in a place free from gases or vapors that seriously affect transformer insulation, chemical deposits, dust, dirt, and other explosive media.

　　 4. Precautions:

　　 1. For newly installed or long-term unused current generators, measure the insulation resistance between coils and between coils and ground with a 1500 megohm meter before operation. Only when the resistance is not lower than 0.5 megohm can it be used.

　　 2. During use, the current generator transformer and the operation console must be reliably grounded to ensure safety.

　　 3. When using, the current should be increased slowly and evenly, and avoid excessive vibration during handling.

　　 4. The contact surface between the voltage regulator and the carbon brush should be kept clean. If necessary, wipe it clean with cotton yarn dipped in 90% alcohol.

　　 5. This equipment is designed for short-time work, so it is not allowed to work under rated capacity for a long time, especially not allowed to run exceeding the rated current to prevent overheating.

　　 6. This equipment should be stored in a clean, ventilated, and dry indoor place.
