Mine Stray Current Tester

   Model: TD-FZY-3

Used to test stray current on rails, cable sheaths, metal mesh frames, etc. in underground coal mines. Prevent stray current from exceeding specified values and causing electric sparks. Ensure mine safety.

◇ Measurement Range ◇

    AC Range: 0~100mA~500mA~1A~5A

    DC Range: (+)0~100mA~500mA~2.5A~10A~50A

    Basic Error: DC Range +2.5%

    AC Range +5%

◇ Precautions ◇

Before measurement, insert the test leads into the internal test lead holes respectively, and insert both ends of the connecting wire into the two jacks. Adjust the meter pointer to zero.

Place the test rods connected to the binding posts on the two points to be measured (e.g., rails, cable sheaths, coal, etc.). Set the switch to the appropriate range. The meter reading is the stray current value between the two points. When the pointer deflects to the right, it is positive; when it deflects to the left, it is negative.

When measuring stray voltage, separate the connecting forks on the two color posts. The meter reading is then the voltage value, where mA corresponds to mV and A corresponds to V.

When the stray current magnitude is unknown, first set to the maximum range, then gradually decrease to the appropriate range. The instrument should be placed horizontally.

When the measured current exceeds 5A, only short-time measurement is allowed. When the measured current exceeds 10A, only instantaneous measurement is allowed.

When not in use, set the instrument to the (OFF) position.
