Live Detection Knowledge
1. What is the definition of live detection?
Condition monitoring is divided into two types: live detection and online monitoring.
Online monitoring: Using related equipment and instruments, permanently installed on the equipment being monitored, to conduct detection on the monitored equipment.
Live detection: Using special test instruments and devices to conduct special detection on the electrical equipment being tested, to discover potential faults in the operating electrical equipment. It only detects the operating state of the electrical equipment at the time of detection, and only performs electrical detection, not relay protection transmission detection.
2. What is the difference between live detection technology and conventional detection?
Conventional detection refers to power preventive tests, which are conducted through outage tests, dust removal, and inspection of the electrical and mechanical characteristics of the equipment.
Live detection technology refers to detection performed on electrical equipment while it is in operation. It only performs electrical detection, not mechanical detection.
3. What are the applicable objects of live detection technology?
Live detection is applicable to all power users, including power users at various levels such as 110kV, 220kV, 35KV, and 10kV.
4. How developed is live detection technology?
Live detection technology has been used in developed countries such as Europe and the United States for more than ten years. The technology is mature, the equipment operates stably, and the data obtained is detailed and reliable. To ensure the smooth holding of the Olympic Games, Beijing Electric Power Company introduced relevant live detection equipment and conducted live detection on the power supply equipment of key Olympic venues and facilities.
5. What are the common devices used in live detection technology?
Partial discharge tester: It can quickly capture the partial discharge phenomenon of equipment during operation and record parameters such as discharge peak value and waveform.
Ultrasonic detector: It can accurately capture discharge phenomena in the power distribution room, such as those from transformers, switchgear, insulation devices, circuit breakers, relays, and busbars, as well as measure acoustic changes that cannot be observed by the senses, such as SF6 gas leakage.
Infrared thermal imager: It can accurately detect the temperature of equipment components and temperature changes. Through high-tech thermal imaging technology, it can intuitively display the temperature values at various points of the equipment and quickly judge the overall operating state of the equipment.
6. What problems in equipment can live detection discover?
Live detection technology can discover all common problems that occur in electrical equipment during operation, such as partial discharge, heating, gas leakage, and other hidden dangers that may cause major accidents.
7. What equipment is live detection mainly targeted at?
Live detection mainly targets primary electrical equipment, that is, electrical equipment directly used for generating, transmitting, conducting, distributing, and consuming electrical energy. It includes generators, transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, automatic switches, contactors, knife switches, busbars, transmission lines, power cables, reactors, motors, grounding, lightning arresters, filters, etc.
8. What advantages does live detection have compared to conventional preventive tests?
(1) Live detection is performed while the equipment is in normal operation, without the need for power outage, avoiding the reputation and economic losses caused by power outages for power users, and bringing great convenience to power users.
(2) The safety hazards of power equipment in operation are solved through the high-tech equipment and technology of live detection. Old equipment, due to severe aging, cannot withstand instantaneous high voltage and cannot undergo outage pressure tests. Live detection technology exactly fills this gap, allowing users to have a clear understanding of the operating state of old equipment.
(3) Live detection can flexibly arrange the detection cycle according to the operating condition of the equipment, making it easy to discover equipment hidden dangers in a timely manner and understand the trend of hidden dangers. Outage detection must determine the detection time based on the actual situation of the power user.
9. What guiding significance does the live detection report have for power users?
The live detection report can provide power users with a detailed understanding of the operating state of their equipment, help them identify potential faults in a timely manner, and provide a basis for maintenance and repair, thereby ensuring the safe and stable operation of the power system.
