Technical Features

1. High precision and accurate measurement. The voltage and current meters are digital displays, with voltage resolution of 0.1kV and current resolution of 1uA. The voltmeter on the control box directly displays the voltage applied to the load test object, so no external voltage divider is needed, and wiring is simple. The instrument can measure leakage current at both high and low voltage ends. The high-voltage end uses a circular shielded digital meter display, which is resistant to discharge impact and has good anti-interference performance, suitable for field use.

2. Added high-precision 75% VDC-1mA function, bringing great convenience to zinc oxide arrester measurements. With a simple press, no calculation is needed. The control box has a 75% voltage function key. When doing arrester tests, when the current rises to 1000uA, press the 0.75UDC--1mA button. The values displayed on the voltmeter and ammeter are the 75% data. After completion, immediately return the voltage regulator potentiometer to zero, and immediately press the green button to cut off high voltage and turn off the power switch. Then proceed with other tests.

3. Adopting advanced technology and manufacturing processes, it is the first to apply the latest PWM intermediate frequency pulse width modulation technology and pulse train logic array modulation, using high-power IGBT devices and large voltage feedback, resulting in higher stability of output high voltage and smaller ripple coefficient.

4. Negative polarity output, zero start, continuously adjustable, with various protection functions such as overvoltage, overcurrent, return-to-zero, grounding protection, and unique disconnection protection. The automatic protection circuit has strong functions, complete and reliable protection, making operation safe, and all technical indicators are superior to industry standards.

5. Convenient overvoltage setting function, using digital thumbwheel switches, which can display the set voltage value intuitively, making operation more flexible, with the displayed value in kV.

Operating Instructions

The indicator lights, switches, knobs, etc. on the control box are clearly marked. Please refer to the component names on the control box panel when reading these operating instructions.

On the side of the high-voltage tower chassis, there is a seven-pin socket for connecting the control box cable. On the side of the chassis, there is a copper terminal for connecting the ground wire.

The accompanying high-voltage shielded ammeter is a digital microammeter. The jack on the top of the meter is for connecting the test object's wire, and it also serves as the power switch. When not in use, unplug the plug to automatically turn off the power. To replace the battery, open the screws on the top cover. After replacement, close the cover and tighten the screws. For the flat round meter, open the back cover to replace the battery.

1. Connect the grounding terminal on the control box panel to the grounding terminal on the high-voltage tower using a ground wire, and securely connect to the ground wire of the site or laboratory. To ensure the safety of you and the equipment, please repeatedly check the ground wire to ensure all grounding is good.

Use the provided seven-core cable to connect the control box and the high-voltage tower. Both ends of the cable have the same quick aviation plug. Note that the notch on the side of the plug should align with the thick convex part inside the socket, insert, and turn clockwise to tighten. (Either end of the cable can be connected to the control box or the high-voltage tower.) Connect the power cord. The power supply is single-phase AC 220V, 50Hz.

2. Turn on the power switch. At this time, the power switch light (green) and the panel meter light up. Then the high-voltage indicator light (green) lights up. If the high-voltage warning buzzer is in the on position, it will sound to alert the operator that high voltage is being applied. At this time, turn the high-voltage output adjustment knob clockwise to increase the voltage. The voltmeter displays the voltage KV value on the load test object, and the ammeter displays the sum of the current flowing through the test object and all leakage currents, but does not include the current of the built-in high-voltage divider. The current is displayed in microamperes (uA).

If the power switch is turned on, the high-voltage indicator light (green) does not light up, and the "return to zero" light (red) in the fault display lights up, it means the high-voltage output adjustment knob is not at zero. Please turn this knob counterclockwise to the "zero" position, and return the fine-tuning voltage knob to zero. Then the "return to zero" light goes off, and you can turn clockwise to increase the voltage.

3. If voltage regulation protection within the rated output voltage range is not needed, turn the overvoltage protection setting knob clockwise to the maximum value. At this time, when the output voltage exceeds the rated output voltage, automatic protection will cut off the high voltage. If voltage regulation protection within the rated output voltage range is required, follow the above steps to increase the voltage without load to the predetermined protection voltage, then slowly turn the overvoltage protection setting knob counterclockwise to the required voltage. When overvoltage protection action occurs, the "overvoltage" indicator light lights up. Keep the overvoltage protection setting knob at this position, return the voltage increase knob to zero, and turn off the power. Connect the test object, and then if the voltage exceeds the predetermined voltage during subsequent increases, the high voltage will be automatically cut off.

The ZGF digital DC high voltage generator complies with the ZBF24003-90 "Portable DC High Voltage Generator General Technical Conditions" standard, and has been verified by Zhongshi High Voltage Testing Electrical Co., Ltd. and the National Testing Center of the National Electric Power Department, strictly implementing legal standards to ensure the safety of users of DC high voltage generators.
