Low Frequency Signal Generator Usage Method and Control Part

1. The panel of the low-frequency signal generator can be roughly divided into three main parts: the output control part, the frequency adjustment part, and the voltage output and contact input part.

1. Output control part:

As shown in the figure below: the upper part is the voltage display, the lower left is the output switch and output indicator light, and the right side is the voltage amplitude adjustment knob.

2. Frequency adjustment part:

As shown in the figure below: the upper part is the frequency display, the lower part is the frequency adjustment, divided into two knobs: coarse adjustment and fine adjustment. There is a contact indicator light in the middle. When the contact connected to the contact socket is closed, the indicator light turns on.

3. Voltage output and contact input part:

As shown in the figure below: the output part includes the voltage output socket on the left and the contact socket on the right. When the contact connected to the contact socket is closed, the contact indicator light turns on.

2. Usage method of ultra-low frequency signal generator

1. Preparation before use:

Turn on the power switch, connect the voltage output to the load under test, and connect the load's normally open contact to the contact socket on the panel. Then adjust the coarse and fine frequency adjustment knobs and the voltage amplitude adjustment knob to set the output frequency and amplitude to the desired values. Since the output switch is not turned on, there is no voltage output at the output socket at this time.

Note: The load contact connected should be a non-energized normally open contact. Do not connect an energized contact to the device to avoid damaging the instrument.

2. Operation:

After checking that the wiring is correct, turn on the output switch, and the output indicator light will turn on. Adjust the output knob to the rated voltage value of the relay under test. The voltage is applied to the load. By slowly adjusting the coarse and fine adjustment knobs of the frequency control part, the output frequency can be changed. When the load's normally open contact operates, the current frequency display value will be latched, the displayed value will flash three times, and the buzzer will sound to indicate that the contact has operated. After the displayed value flashes three times, it will resume normal display. When the relay operates again, the above state will be repeated. After the test is completed, press the output switch button again to turn off the output.
