How to Select a High Voltage Power Supply?

Selecting a high voltage power supply is a relatively complex task. How to choose a high voltage power supply product from Wiseman High Voltage? The following is an overview:

1. Determine the maximum output voltage you need. All Wiseman High Voltage products are continuously adjustable from the lowest voltage to the maximum output voltage. You only need to confirm the maximum voltage you require. If you actually use 40KV, we recommend choosing 45KV, which is sufficient; there is no need to select a higher voltage.

2. Determine the maximum output current you need. We also recommend not leaving too much margin here. Instead, when ordering, you should provide a detailed description of your usage requirements and actual working conditions to Wiseman High Voltage's sales engineers. Under some working conditions, a larger current does not necessarily mean better performance. For complex working conditions such as electrospinning, withstand voltage testing, and capacitor charging/discharging, the high voltage power supply requires special protection. Simply increasing current and power increases cost but may not necessarily complete the job excellently.

3. Determine the maximum output power you need. Power = Voltage x Current. However, for some special high voltage power supplies, such as X-ray tube high voltage power supplies, power, voltage, and current can be specified according to your needs. As long as the power requirement is not exceeded, voltage and current can have multiple combinations.

4. Volume: Choose a high voltage power supply with an appropriate size according to your needs. Under the same voltage, current, and power, the smaller the volume, the higher the price.

5. Stability: Choose appropriate stability according to your needs. Under the same voltage, current, and power, the higher the stability, the higher the price.

6. Temperature drift: Refers to the change in output voltage for every 1 degree Celsius change in temperature of the high voltage power supply. Under the same voltage, current, and power, the smaller the temperature drift, the higher the price of the high voltage power supply.

7. Ripple: Refers to the sum of switching noise and AC ripple of the high voltage power supply. Choose appropriate ripple requirements according to your needs. Under the same voltage, current, and power, the smaller the ripple, the higher the price.

8. Interface type: Wiseman High Voltage power supplies have analog and digital interfaces. The analog interfaces have different reference voltages. Users can choose any given and display voltage such as 3V, 4.5V, 5V, 10V, etc., according to their needs. Wiseman High Voltage digital interfaces include USB, RS-232, RS-422, Ethernet, and CAN bus. You can choose according to your requirements.

9. High voltage cable: Choose an appropriate high voltage cable according to your needs. Wiseman High Voltage offers flexible high voltage cables and ordinary high voltage cables.

10. Other requirements: For any other special needs you may have, Wiseman High Voltage will manufacture according to your requirements.
