Verifying the Integrity of Vacuum Circuit Breakers

During inspection, gradually approach the live equipment until it glows or sounds, to verify the integrity of the vacuum circuit breaker. Then test on the equipment that needs to be checked. When testing on multi-layer lines erected on the same poles, test the low voltage first, then the high voltage; test the lower layer first, then the upper layer. It should be specially noted that during storage and transportation, do not subject it to strong vibration or impact, and do not adjust or disassemble it without authorization. In any environment where rain, snow, or other factors affect insulation performance, it must not be used.Transformer Calibrator is simple to operate, intuitive to read, and quick to measure, which can reduce energy consumption and labor intensity; it is small in size, light in weight, and easy to carry and test on site; the Transformer Calibrator can be tested at 5% of the rated working current.

A vacuum circuit breaker is a protective device with good performance that can play an important role and value in use. It is mainly used to test high-voltage electrical equipment with a voltage to ground above 250V. Vacuum circuit breakers come in different forms and types. Before using a vacuum circuit breaker for voltage testing, be sure to carefully read the instruction manual and check whether the test has exceeded the period, whether the appearance is damaged, or has cracks. For example, when taking the GDY type vacuum circuit breaker out of the bag, first observe whether the blade of the electric rotation indicator has any shaft detachment, and whether the alarm sounds. If the shaft is detached, it must not be used. Then gently shake the electric rotation indicator in your hand; the blade should sway slightly, proving it is in good condition. Then check the alarm part to confirm the sound is good. For the GSY series high-voltage audible and visual vacuum circuit breaker, before operation, the indicator should undergo a self-test; only then can the indicator be rotated and fixed on the operating rod, and the rod extended to the specified length, and another self-test performed before proceeding. Note that vacuum circuit breakers cannot detect DC voltage. During voltage testing, operators must wear insulating gloves and insulating boots to prevent harm from step voltage or contact voltage. The operator should hold the handle part below the guard ring, and first test on a live device. Currently, the widely used types include the luminous high vacuum circuit breaker, the audible and visual vacuum circuit breaker, and the windmill type vacuum circuit breaker. They generally consist of three main parts: the detection part (indicator part or windmill), the insulation part, and the handle part. Before using a vacuum circuit breaker, a reasonable inspection must be carried out to ensure it can play an important role and value in use. When using a vacuum circuit breaker for voltage testing, first, the operation supervision system must be strictly implemented, with one person operating and one person supervising. The operator is in front, and the supervisor is behind. When using a vacuum circuit breaker, it must be noted that its rated voltage should match the voltage level of the electrical equipment being tested; otherwise, it may endanger the safety of the operator or cause incorrect judgments. Do not expose it to direct sunlight in the open; it should be stored in a dry and ventilated place, and do not wipe or contact it with corrosive chemical solvents or detergents.

The insulation part refers to the section from the metal connecting screw at the lower part of the indicator to the guard ring, and the handle part refers to the section below the guard ring. The lengths of the insulation part and the handle part vary according to different voltage levels.

Vacuum circuit breakers are produced and used in a normal manner and method, ensuring that they are manufactured and used according to certain principles and methods.
