Simple troubleshooting methods for trace moisture analyzer:
1. No indicator lights are lit when powered on;
Check whether the 220V AC power supply is correct, whether the power cord is connected properly and securely. After powering on, the power switch light of the instrument should be lit, indicating that the 220V AC power supply is successfully connected.
2. The endpoint indicator light is also lit when the instrument is powered on;
This phenomenon is caused by the current surge during startup. In this case, please restart the instrument.
3. The reagent takes a long time to reach the endpoint during initial water balance;
First, too much water is added. For initial water balance, use a 100 microliter syringe to extract pure water and slowly inject it into the reagent from the injection port. While injecting, pay attention to the color change of the reagent. When the reagent changes from dark brown to light yellow, the two rows of green indicator lights on the instrument should all be lit, and the instrument's counter starts counting rapidly. At this point, stop adding water immediately. The instrument should reach initial balance within half an hour.
Second, the reagent used is not compatible with the instrument. Please use the dedicated reagent.
Third, there is moisture in the ceramic semipermeable membrane between the two platinum mesh of the electrolytic electrode. It can be dried in a drying oven at 80°C for 1 hour, then cooled naturally before use.
4. The measured data is lower or higher than expected;
Carefully clean the attachments on the two platinum electrodes. First, the two platinum claws of the measuring electrode may have dirt after prolonged use, causing poor contact between the claws and the reagent, resulting in higher resistance and lower measurement signal transmitted to the host, leading to lower measurement results.
Specific treatment method: Heat the two platinum claws of the measuring electrode with an alcohol lamp until they are dark red, then let them cool naturally before use. Alternatively, place the two platinum claws flat on the edge of the workbench and gently scrape off the attachments with a blade. (Note: The two platinum claws should be placed parallel into the electrolytic cell bottle. Do not let the two claws touch each other to cause a short circuit, as a short circuit will cause the instrument not to count. An open circuit in the measuring electrode will cause the instrument to count indefinitely and not reach the endpoint for a long time, until the reagent fails due to excess iodine.)
