BCSE-48V Battery Bank Capacity Monitoring and Discharge Equipment Selection Manual

OverviewBattery banks used in communicationrooms, whether maintenance-free or other types, must undergo regular discharge procedures according to battery usage regulations. During the discharge process, the terminal voltage, temperature, and current of the batteries should be monitored to ensure a certain storage capacity. Using our monitoring products can further analyze the quality and capacity of the batteries, and quickly identify weak individual cells.

To monitor the voltage and current of each individual cell, quickly measure the remaining capacity, and identify the quality and storage capability of the batteries, you can use our BCSU equipment. For short-term discharge or long-term capacity testing, deep discharge, and project acceptance, you can use our BDCT equipment.

If you need both BCSU and BDCT functions and prefer portability, the BCSE series is the choice.

BCSE = Rapid Capacity Analysis + Individual Cell Voltage Monitoring + Constant Current Discharge

I. Main Functions of BCSE

1. The product combines three functions: capacity analysis, individual cell voltage monitoring, and constant current discharge.

2. Equipped with a large touch screen, allowing direct operation by tapping on the screen.

3. Full deep discharge capability: supports continuous discharge for ten hours, accurately measuring battery capacity.

4. Rapid capacity analysis function: can estimate the remaining battery capacity through a five-minute discharge.

5. Parallel operation capability: two units can be used in parallel for constant current discharge, with up to 9 units in parallel.

6. Float charge period recording function: records battery status during float charging and provides timely recommendations for "equalizing charge" when needed.

7. Multiple alarm functions: issues alarms in a timely manner, stops discharge, and provides warnings for misoperations such as reversed polarity, without damaging the instrument.

8. Intelligent scan cycle function: automatically adjusts the scan cycle, eliminating the need to set complex cycle parameters, and records discharge/charge data at the optimal scan cycle.

9. External contact function: provides output contacts for discharge completion, external charging over/under voltage, or other alarms, facilitating appropriate handling by charging equipment or other devices.

10. Computer function: allows online communication with the unit, collection of discharge/charge records and real-time status for battery quality assessment and analysis.

11. 8M memory: can store multiple sets of discharge data, allowing review, analysis, and deletion of historical discharge data directly from the host.

12. During discharge, it can also connect to a PC to receive discharge data in real time; data can also be copied via SD card to a PC for analysis and test report generation.

13. Safety relay device: controlled by the built-in microcomputer, completely isolated from the battery when not discharging or during alarms.

14. Appearance design: front panel with a sloped design for easy reading and operation, aesthetically pleasing; all wiring is at the front, and heat dissipation is directed to the rear, not affecting wire quality or cooling efficiency.

15. Uses high-efficiency discharge materials; no red-hot phenomenon during discharge. Even if the cooling fan stops, the unit automatically reduces the discharge current, avoiding the red-hot danger common in other discharge equipment.

16. The internal memory uses FLASH ROM design, with a data retention capability of up to 10 years, unlike relay memory devices that rely on small batteries and typically retain data for only three months, with the risk of battery leakage.

17. Quick connection function for simple operation.
