The indicator lights, switches, knobs, etc. on the control box are clearly marked. Please refer to the component names on the control box panel when reading these operation instructions.
On the side of the high-voltage tower chassis, there is a seven-core socket for connecting the control box cable, and a copper terminal for grounding connection.
The accompanying high-voltage shielded ammeter is a digital microammeter. The jack on the top of the meter is for connecting the test object and also serves as a power switch. When not in use, unplug the plug to automatically turn off the power. To replace the battery, open the screws on the top cover, replace the battery, and then close the cover and tighten the screws. For the flat round meter, open the back cover to replace the battery.
1. Connect the grounding terminal on the control box panel to the grounding terminal on the high-voltage tower using a grounding wire, and securely connect it to the ground wire at the site or in the laboratory. To ensure the safety of you and the equipment, please repeatedly check the grounding wire to ensure all grounding connections are good.
Use the provided seven-core cable to connect the control box and the high-voltage tower. Both ends of the cable have the same quick aviation plug. Note that the notch on the side of the plug should align with the thick convex part inside the socket, insert it, and then turn it clockwise to tighten. (Either end of the cable can be connected to the control box or the high-voltage tower.) Connect the power cord; the power supply is single-phase AC 220V, 50Hz.
2. Turn on the power switch. At this time, the power switch light (green) and the panel meter will light up. Then the high-voltage indicator light (green) will light up. If the high-voltage buzzer is in the on position, it will sound to alert the operator that high voltage is being applied. At this point, turn the high-voltage output adjustment knob clockwise to increase the voltage. The voltmeter displays the voltage KV value on the load test object, and the ammeter displays the sum of the current flowing through the test object and all leakage currents, but does not include the current of the built-in high-voltage divider. The current is in microamperes (uA).
If, after turning on the power switch, the high-voltage indicator light (green) does not light up and the "return to zero" light (red) in the fault display lights up, it indicates that the high-voltage output adjustment knob is not in the zero position. Turn the knob counterclockwise to the "zero" position, and also return the fine-tuning voltage knob to zero. Then the "return to zero" light will go out, and you can turn clockwise to increase the voltage.
3. If overvoltage protection within the rated output voltage range is not required, turn the overvoltage protection setting knob clockwise to the maximum. At this time, when the output voltage exceeds the rated output voltage, automatic protection will cut off the high voltage. If overvoltage protection within the rated output voltage range is required, perform a no-load voltage increase following the above steps to the predetermined protection voltage, then slowly turn the overvoltage protection setting knob counterclockwise to the desired voltage. When the overvoltage protection action occurs, the "overvoltage" indicator light will light up. Keep the overvoltage protection setting knob in this position, return the voltage increase knob to zero, and turn off the power. After connecting the test object, if the voltage exceeds the predetermined voltage in future operations, the high voltage will be automatically cut off.
The ZGF digital DC high voltage generator complies with the ZBF24003-90 "Portable DC High Voltage Generator General Technical Conditions" standard, and has been verified by Zhongshi High Voltage Electrical Co., Ltd. and the National Testing Center of the National Electric Power Department. It strictly implements legal standards to ensure the safety of users of the DC high voltage generator.
1) Before each DC high voltage generator test, it is necessary to check that the grounding wire is secure.
2) Before each test, pay attention to maintaining a safe distance. After the test, be sure to fully discharge the voltage multiplier cylinder before removing the connections.
3) During the test, once overvoltage protection or overcurrent protection is triggered, if the DC high voltage needs to be tested again, you must first disconnect the power supply, wait until all indications on the instrument disappear, then turn on the power switch again before repeating the above test process.
