Measuring the DC resistance of the rotor winding is a routine test item during overhaul. If the DC resistance changes significantly, exceeding the requirements of the "Preventive Test Regulations", there may be inter-turn short circuits or poor welding, and the cause must be identified. According to the "Preventive Test Regulations", the difference compared to the initial measurement (at commissioning or overhaul) should generally not exceed 2%.
1. Test Method
1. The method of measuring the DC resistance of the rotor winding using a DC resistance tester is the same as that for measuring the DC resistance of the stator winding.
2. It should be performed in a cold state.
3. When measuring salient-pole rotor windings, measurements should be taken at the connection points between each field pole coil, that is, measure the DC resistance of each coil and its connecting wires.
